Clarion Pointe Charleston - West Ashley

The location

The room was not clean. The window and seal was very dirty. The bedding was stained, Dingy towels, room had a unpleasant smell. We moved to a new room and it also was not properly cleaned; dingy towels, smelled and had dirty hand towels left in bathroom.

The front desk clerk. She was very understanding and accommodating when we talked to her about our room issues.

NO HOT WATER for showers....I called to let the front desk know and she kindly said "Maintenance just came in and she'll have them check the broilers" and then the same thing happened the next morning NO HOT WATER...NO showers for two days. :(

Location is convenient to where our family lives. Suite is nicely laid out with privacy doors for both rooms. Price is among the lowest around. Breakfast was quite nice for a hotel in this price range. Hotel employee at front desk very nice.

We were there over Christmas, so there was only minimum staffing to pick up after slobs who think they can just toss their trash in the elevator, stairwell or corridor. Killed a few bugs in the room (not uncommon for any hotel in coastal Carolina).

The place was dated and disgusting. The beds were like cots with shitty pillows. Worst hotel ever

The location is the only positive of this experience.

our room reeked of weed. Took cold showers for our 2 day stay. Rotten food found in the microwave. Trash in the hallways and elevator. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Smart TV wasnt connecting to WiFi so it wasnt a smart tv.

Cleanliness as well as space. The stay was well worth the money.
