Mid-town is a great location that is walking distance from lots of attractions! The Sheraton is a great location, walking distance from Central Park, Bryant Park, Broadway shows, Grand Central Station and more.
When arriving I love getting ready to go out for dinner and a show right away! It is a great way to start the trip and you can even hit up a rooftop bar after!
There are so many areas to explore in the city! Grab a pastry near Washington Park then walk up to Union Square and the Flatiron Building. You can take in the sights while having a leisure walk enjoying your pastries and coffee to start the day. From there head to Soho to find the cutest boutiques! Here are a few cute ones to check out: New York or Nowhere, Other Stories, Everyone, Sunday Soho, Dalbit.
Make your way over to the west side of the city where you can visit the Vessel, walk the highland and enjoy the floating park.
I love going to multiple shows! It is always fun to do a classic and mix in a new exclusive show. Currently running was And Juliette which was a fun and entertaining show that I would definitely recommend seeing!
I love when the Yankees, Mets, Jets, Giants, or honestly any team is playing in the city! Yankees games are particularly fun in summer and are something special to take in. You can then rent bikes and ride around the park or explore mid town before heading out for dinner and drinks!
This is a great day to cover lots of areas! Start off the day by walking the Brooklyn Bridge. You can then grab a coffee and pastry and enjoy a relaxing walk by the water. The Financial District has incredible architecture and is definitely worth exploring. Make your way back to Midtown to go up Top Of The Rock. This is my favourite view of the city! You can then explore Grand Central Station, The New York City Library, Bryant Park, Central Park and 5th Ave. Midtown has a lot to explore so take your time!
The Upper East Side is where I used to live and it is one of my favourite parts of the city. The Met is located in the Upper East Side and definitely worth a visit if you have the time. This is also a great activity for a rain day. The only payment to get in is by donation so you choose how much you would like to donate each visit. If you walk to 2nd and 3rd avenue from the Met you will find lots of fabulous restaurants where locals are eating. This neighbourhood is quiet and full of great food!
1. The Staten Island Ferry is free and runs every 20 minutes. This will give you a great view of the city from the water! 2. The Yellow Water Taxi is another great way to see the city from the water. 3. Look up what is going on in the city before going! In summer you can find free concerts in Central Park, free tickets to your favourite shows, or pop up markets! 4. Book dinner reservations to avoid waiting in long lines! 5. Go to the box office when buying show tickets. You will usually get a better deal there!
