If I had to sum up Cliff House Maine, it’s one of those places where you immediately feel like you made the right decision the second you walk in. Starting with the room—this is honestly a big reason to stay here. Almost every room has a private balcony facing the ocean, and it’s actually private and quiet. You fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake up to it too. Beds are super comfortable, rooms feel modern but still coastal, and nothing feels cramped or outdated. Where it really stands out though is everything outside the room. The pool setup is unreal—especially the one near Nubb's Lobster Shack. You can sit in the hot tub or pool literally overlooking the ocean, grab a drink, and just hang there for hours. It’s very relaxed, not overly fancy, just done really well. Then there’s The Tiller Restaurant, which is probably the highlight if you’re staying on property for dinner. Floor-to-ceiling windows right over the cliffs, really good seafood, and it somehow feels upscale without being stuffy. Definitely one of those dinners you actually remember. The spa is another big plus—it’s right on the water and feels like a full experience, not just a quick add-on. Even if you’re not huge into spas, it’s worth checking out. Location-wise, it’s kind of perfect. You’re tucked away on the cliffs in Cape Neddick so it feels quiet and removed, but you’re still super close to Ogunquit if you want shops, restaurants, or the beach. And Nubble Lighthouse is right there, which is one of those classic Maine spots you’ll want to see. This place is probably best for couples or anyone just trying to relax for a few days. It’s not really a “go-go-go” trip—it’s more slow mornings, long afternoons by the pool, and easy nights. Service-wise, everything just feels smooth. Staff are friendly, helpful, and not overbearing. Nothing feels forced or overly formal, which honestly makes a big difference. The little things are what really stick too—sunsets right from the property, fire pits going at night, and just how easy it is to go from doing something to doing nothing without ever feeling bored. I’d 100% stay here again. It’s one of those places that nails the balance between being really nice and still feeling comfortable, and the setting alone kind of seals the deal.
Apr 2026We had a fantastic time at the Garden of the Gods resort in Colorado Springs. Our room was beautiful with a great fireplace and the most incredible views of Garden of the Gods and the Rocky Mountains, including Pikes peak. Highly recommend the upgraded mountain front room. It will not disappoint. I am obsessed with the views from the resort pool! Staff was very friendly. There are a couple restaurants onsite but we spent our time exploring the restaurants in the city. A rental car is a must for this resort. There is a large housing development surrounding the resort and no restaurants or stores in walking distance. However, the resort location is a perfect starting point to explore Colorado Springs.
Apr 2026The Strathcona Hotel is a lively downtown option right in the heart of Victoria, within walking distance of the Inner Harbour, restaurants, and major attractions. Unlike quieter boutique hotels, this property is known for its social atmosphere, with multiple on-site bars, a rooftop patio, and nightlife venues that make it a popular spot for a more energetic stay. Rooms are comfortable and practical, but the main draw here is the location and entertainment options rather than a luxury or quiet experience. Overall, this is a good choice if you want to be in the center of everything and don’t mind a busier, more vibrant hotel environment.
